Cobble Hill Winery was born from a shared vision: to bring regenerative farming and thoughtful winemaking together in one extraordinary place. Nestled in the heart of the Cowichan Valley, the winery reflects Steve and Tricia’s commitment to the land and their passion for crafting distinctive cool-climate wines—brought to life in collaboration with renowned winemaker Dylan Sheldon.
What began as a chance meeting in a small Santa Rosa micro-winery quickly revealed a deeper alignment. A planned tasting turned into hours of conversation, uncovering a mutual pursuit of wines defined by character, precision, and place. As they parted, a single word lingered—kismet.
That same sense of inevitability guided the search that followed. Nearly two years later, the Cowichan Valley emerged as the perfect setting, its landscape and climate ideally suited to the varietals they loved. The moment they stepped onto the property, they knew they had found home.
Today, Cobble Hill Winery stands as an expression of that journey—where land stewardship, curiosity, and craftsmanship converge. Each bottle, including their signature white “Kismet,” carries the spirit of that first meeting: a quiet belief that some paths are meant to find you.

Welcome to the Guest House at Cobble Hill Winery, where vineyard vistas and the gentle rhythms of farm life greet you with warmth and ease. Thoughtfully designed, this fully furnished 1,330 sq/ft house comfortably sleeps up to six guests, our retreat features two spacious bedrooms, each with a private ensuite bath, plus a den with a comfy sofa sleeper and a convenient half bath for added comfort.
Step through our gate into a world of quiet elegance. If the tasting room is open, begin your stay with a complimentary glass of wine or a curated tasting. Let nature’s gentle symphony welcome you—the chorus of birds, the whisper of vines, and the rhythmic hum of winemaking. Pause by the pasture to meet Beatrice and Benedict, our resident goats and self-appointed greeters, whose playful antics never fail to add a touch of charm to your visit.
